“With roots in New Mexico but now based in the UK, he takes his Americana sound and combines it with a more rock sound to bring it perfectly into the 21st century. This in an artist who knows his sound inside and out, and has no desire to meddle too much with it, but instead he is honing and perfecting it.” - RGM Press

Henry Ray

Grit-Driven Country Rock with the Heart of Americana

Artist Bio: Henry Ray is a New Mexico–born country rock artist now based in the UK, blending Southwestern grit, Southern rock attitude, and authentic Americana storytelling with a unique sound rooted in Mexican and Chiricahua Apache heritage

He started his first gigging band at age 15, and after climbing up the ranks on the Albuquerque music scene he went on to record with Stuart Bruce and Jacqui Blake at Real World Studio in 1995 under Union Japan Records.

After many years away from music to focus on family, he is back in the saddle now and building a reputation for powerful, high-energy live performances.

Backed by his band El Toro, Henry delivers a modern country rock sound influenced by country and rock artists from Whitesnake and ZZ Top, to Chris Stapleton and Luke Combs.

His 2024 EP “This Old Thing” continues to grow momentum across the UK Americana and country scene, with radio play on both sides of the Atlantic. Henry Ray’s music combines raw emotion, gritty guitar work and honest storytelling, bringing authentic Americana to audiences across the UK and beyond.

Career Highlights include:

Sharing stages with southern rock legends such as Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet and Bon Jovi
